Japan's Masayuki Mochizuki beats Lars Trabolt of Denmark in 2009 World Backgammon Championship Final

Masayuki Mochizuki of Japan bested Lars Trabolt of Denmark 25-20 in the World Championship Final in Monte Carlo, Monaco played on Sunday, July 19, 2009.

Lars Trabolt, known as "Trabi" by friends, was the 2008 Monte Carlo World Backgammon Champion, and therefore was going for his second world title in a row.
